Inpatient Unit Coordinator

Position Summary

SIGNING BONUS $1500

The Unit Coordinator will function as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing recovery-oriented, person-centered care at Recovery Place Seattle Inpatient Services. The Unit Coordinator will be responsible for administration and reception functions on assigned units.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Job Functions: (This is not the job description in its entirety)

  • Acts as unit resource and provide customer service to patients, families, healthcare professionals and all staff
  • Facilitates communication between facility programs, outside agencies, and other Valley Cities outpatient clinics and programs
  • Cover reception desk, including greeting visitors to the facility, answering and transferring phone calls, coordinating visitation between visitors and clients
  • Maintaining supplies inventory and copying/filing, faxing, scanning as needed.
  • Maintains patient records and unit census records on a daily basis.
  • Pre-screens referrals for admission for eligibility and demographic information

EDUCATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Completion of a medical terminology course and/or a Health Unit Coordinator course preferred
  • Pass required background checks

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

  • Understanding of and familiarity with addiction, withdrawal, and treatment resources for recovery.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals and a diverse client population.
  • Experience working in a EMRs, medical, or residential setting preferred.
